Playing single clean notes on the harmonica is one of the biggest early challenges in learning Blues harmonica. It will take some time to really refine your mouth shape but it is worth putting in the effort now as this foundation will be essential for all the juicy Blues techniques we are going to learn in the future.

- making a whistling shape with your lips to isolate one hole

- making sure the harmonica is centred in your mouth otherwise you might be sitting in between two holes

- keeping the harmonica tilted up

- making sure you don't play too hard
